cauliflower pizza crust recipes

When making cauliflower pizza crust, you may use frozen or fresh cauliflower as well as cauliflower rice, and the crust turns out crispy. Delicious, naturally gluten-free, low-carb, and grain-free pizza crust that has received great reviews!

Ingredients:

  1. 2.5 pounds medium-large (6" – 7" wide) head of cauliflower 2 x 12-16 ounces packages cauliflower rice or frozen cauliflower
  2. 1 large egg
  3. 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese or Mozzarella cheese grated or shredded
  4. 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning or mix of dried oregano and basil
  5. 1/8 teaspoon salt
  6. 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  7. Cooking spray I use Misto

Instructions:

Step:No:01

Prepare by lining a baking sheet with unbleached parchment paper and preheating the oven to 375 degrees F.

Step:No:02

Preparation of "rice": Wash the cauliflower, shave off the outer leaves, divide into florets, and cut into little pieces. Process in batches in a food processor until a "rice" consistency is achieved. If using store-bought cauliflower rice, omit this step and proceed similarly with frozen (thawed) cauliflower.

Step:No:03

To "rice" cauliflower, place it on a sheet pan that has been prepped or in any oven-safe baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes, or microwave for 8 minutes in a microwave-safe bowl. When the cauliflower is cooked, transfer it to a big bowl covered with a double layer of cheesecloth or a linen towel. Cool it for ten to fifteen minutes, or until it is safe to touch.

Step:No:04

Squeeze: Next, grasp four corners of the cauliflower, roll it into a ball, and squeeze as much liquid out as you can. Repeat this several times with patience until very little liquid comes out. Your hands will be sore after 3–4 minutes, and you should be able to remove roughly 1 1/2 cups of water.

Step:No:05

To make the dough, preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Add the dry cauliflower, egg, cheese, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to a big bowl. Using a spatula, thoroughly mix until incorporated.

Step:No:06

Create the crust by lining the same baking sheet or pizza stone with fresh parchment paper, making sure to remove any leftover cauliflower pieces, and misting it with cooking spray. Place the cauliflower pizza dough in the center and use your hands to flatten it into a thin, roughly 11-inch-diameter pizza crust. Use the palm of your hand to press them in so as to avoid any thin edges.

Step:No:07

Bake the crust for 20 minutes in the oven first. With a spatula, carefully flip it over and bake for a few more minutes if you'd like a crispier crust.

Step:No:08

Add your preferred toppings to the cauliflower pizza foundation and bake it again until the cheese on top is golden brown. Chill for a minute or two, then use a pizza cutter to cut into eight slices and savor!
