Pot Pie Casserole with Chicken

 With frozen veggies and onion, this chicken pot pie saves time without sacrificing flavor owing to the parsley. The spirals at the top give it a really posh and playful appearance, and it comes together rather quickly.

Ingredients:


  1. 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  2. 1 cup frozen chopped onion
  3. ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  4. 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
  5. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  6. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  7. 1 teaspoon onion powder
  8. 1 teaspoon table salt
  9. ¾ teaspoon black pepper
  10. 1 ½ cups whole milk
  11. 1 ½ cups chicken broth
  12. 2 ½ cups chopped cooked chicken
  13. 1 (16 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn, and green beans) (3 cups)
  14. ⅓ cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  15. 2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent roll dough (such as Pillsbury


Directions:

Step: No: 01

Set the oven's temperature to 375°F, or 190°C.

In a large Dutch oven over medium heat, melt butter. Add the onion and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, or until soft
.

Mix in the flour, thyme, mustard, onion and garlic powders, salt, and pepper; cook for one minute while stirring continuously.

Stir milk and broth into flour mixture gradually. Cook, stirring frequently, for 3 to 5 minutes, or until bubbly and thickened. Add the parsley, veggies, and chicken and stir. Take off the heat and cover to stay warm.

Onto a chopping board, unroll the crescent dough rolls. To get a total of 24 strips, cut each dough sheet crosswise into 12 strips that are 1 inch wide. To create a spiral, roll each strip.

After adding the chicken mixture to a 13 x 9-inch baking dish that has been lightly oiled, lay the dough spirals on top of the filling.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in a preheated oven, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and the filling is bubbling around the edges. Leave it uncovered for fifteen minutes. Assist.
