Easy homemade Spaghetti Sauce

 Simmering this flavorful tomato sauce over low heat results in a rich, handmade taste that is reminiscent of meat.

Ingredients:

  1. 1 pound lean ground beef
  2. 2 ½ cups chopped tomatoes
  3. 1 ⅓ (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
  4. 1 (4.5 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
  5. 2 tablespoons dried minced onion
  6. 1 teaspoon salt
  7. 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  8. ¾ teaspoon white sugar
  9. ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  10. ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
  11. 12 ounces spaghetti

A big skillet should be heated at medium-high heat. For five to seven minutes, or until browned and crumbly, cook and stir the ground beef in the hot skillet. Grease should be drained and disposed of.

Move the beef to a large pot and add the tomatoes, tomato paste, onion, mushrooms, garlic powder, sugar, pepper, and oregano. Cook over low heat. For two hours, simmer, covered, and stir occasionally.

Heavily salted water in a large saucepan should be brought to a boil. Cook spaghetti in boiling water for about 12 minutes, stirring now and then, until it's firm to the biting but still tender. Then, drain. Put spaghetti with meat sauce on top.
