My brother made this cedar plank salmon for me when we were in Seattle. The salmon is incredibly delicious, smokey, and the best I've ever eaten. I prefer to serve it with asparagus and rice cooked in an Asian way.
Ingredients:
- 3 (12 inch) untreated cedar planks
- ⅓ cup soy sauce
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- 1 ½ tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- ¼ cup chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 (2 pound) salmon fillets, skin removed
Directions:
Step:No:01
Compile every component.
Step:No:02
Let cedar boards soak in warm water for at least one hour. If you have time, continue to soak.
Step:No:03
In a shallow dish, mix together soy sauce, vegetable oil, rice vinegar, sesame oil, green onions, ginger, and garlic.Step:No:04
After adding the soy mixture, flip the salmon fillets to coat. For a minimum of fifteen minutes, or up to an hour if refrigerated, cover and marinate.Step:No:05
Set an outside grill to a medium temperature. Organize the barbecue grate using planks. Preheat the boards until they begin to smoke and crackle slightly.Step:No:06
Take the salmon out of the marinade and set it on the planks, throwing away the marinade.
Step:No:07
Shut off the grill cover. About 20 minutes of grilling is enough to make salmon flake easily with a fork; the salmon will continue to cook after you take it from the grill.more details for recipes:https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/109297/cedar-planked-salmon/
