Rich and custard-like, this chocolate ice cream is flavored with semisweet chocolate and cocoa powder.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 3 egg yolk, lightly beaten
- 2 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Heat a pot with milk, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt over medium heat. Simmer while stirring all the time.Step:No:03
Put the egg yolks in a little basin. Return to the pot and whisk in about 1/2 cup of the heated milk mixture gradually. Don't boil; just heat and stir until thickened.Step:No:04
Take off the heat and mix in the chopped chocolate, stirring until it melts.Step:No:05
Transfer into a refrigerated basin and keep cooled for about two hours, stirring now and again.
