Brown Sugar Garlic Chicken Thighs

As it cooks in the oven, brown sugar chicken fried in a sweet honey-garlic sauce has a wonderfully crispy and browned exterior. The crispy chicken skin and brown sugar pan sauce that result are my favorites.

Ingredients:

  1. 8 (5 ounce) bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  2. salt and ground black pepper to taste
  3. 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  4. 4 cloves garlic, minced
  5. ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  6. 1 tablespoon honey
  7. ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  8. ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  9. ¼ teaspoon dried basil

Directions:

Step:No:01

Compile every component.

Step:No:02

Set the oven's temperature to 400°F, or 200°C.

Step:No:03

Use salt and pepper to season the chicken thighs.

Step:No:04

In a large ovenproof skillet set over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Place the chicken skin-side down and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until browned. Transfer the chicken to a platter.

Step:No:05

In order to release any browned pieces on the bottom, stir while melting the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter in the skillet. Add the garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds or until fragrant. Add the honey, brown sugar, basil, oregano, and thyme and stir until thoroughly mixed. Once the heat is off, place the chicken back in the skillet, skin-side down.

Step:No:06

Roast for 25 to 40 minutes, or until the chicken's juices run clear and it is no longer pink at the bone in the preheated oven. If a thermometer is placed close to the bone, it should read 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius).

Step:No:07

When serving, drizzle pan sauce over the chicken thighs.
