Easy egg salad sandwich

 Why is our recipe for egg salad the best ever? It's really just a simple template, after all! This is a basic recipe that can be used as a starting point to create the ideal egg salad!

Ingredients:

  1. 8 large eggs, hard-boiled
  2. ¼ cup mayonnaise, plus more as needed
  3. 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  4. 2 tablespoons minced chives or green onions
  5. 1 teaspoon unfiltered apple cider vinegar or pickle juice
  6. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  7. 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  8. 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  9. ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  10. 8 slices of your favorite bread or 4 croissants, halved crosswise
  11. 4 large pieces of romaine lettuce

Optional Mix.ins.

  1. Minced red onion
  2. Minced celery
  3. Chopped fresh dill
  4. Minced or grated radishes
  5. Capers, drained
  6. Cooked crumbled bacon
  7. Minced pickles
  8. Chopped Calabrian chilis
  9. Hot sauce


Instructions:

Step:No:01

Gently touch the rounded bottom end of each egg one at a time to crack it open. Crack open the eggs. Transfer the eggs into a big bowl.

Step:No:02

Cut the eggs into pea-sized pieces with two knives, a box grater, or a hard-boiled egg cutter. Add the mustard, chives, vinegar, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper along with the mayonnaise. Toss to blend well. If necessary, taste and adjust the flavors.

Step:No:03

 Add a little of the optional mix-ins as well, if you'd like.

Step:No:04

Simply place a piece of lettuce on top of a slice of bread, top with a dollop of the egg salad, and then top with another slice of bread to turn your egg salad into an egg salad sandwich.
