THe Best Mixed Berry Crisp

 Our recipe for mixed berry crisp is incredibly simple! It's summer in a baking dish, juicy, jammy, and topped with a buttery oat streusel.

Ingredients:

Filling.

  1. 6 cups mixed fresh berries, such as blueberries, raspberries or blackberries
  2. ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  3. ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  4. 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  5. 1½ tablespoons fresh lemon juice (from 1 lemon)
  6. ¼ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Oat topping.

  1. ¼ cup (½ stick) cold unsalted butter, cubed
  2. ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  3. ½ cup all-purpose flour
  4. ½ cup rolled oats
  5. ½ teaspoon sea salt

For Serving.

  1. Vanilla ice cream (optional)


Instructions:

Step:No:01

Adjust an oven rack to the middle position and preheat the oven to 400°F.

Step:No:02

Gently combine the berries with the sugar, salt, flour, lemon juice, and cinnamon (if using) in a sizable basin. Transfer the berry mixture into a pie pan or 2-quart baking dish.

Step:No:03

Combine the butter, brown sugar, flour, oats, and salt in a medium-sized bowl. The mixture should come together into a crumbly dough with your hands. Distribute the oat blend evenly across the fruit.

Step:No:04

Bake for about 35 minutes, or until the berries are bubbling and the topping is golden brown.

Step:No:05

Divide amongst bowls and serve warm, garnished with ice cream, if desired.
